Catechism Competitions, July 5 2026

The YCS Ashoknagar Unit of St. Dominic Church, Ashoknagar, organized a series of competitions for the Catechism children on 5th July 2026 at the Golden Jubilee Church Hall from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The programme was inaugurated by our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Daniel, who blessed the gathering and encouraged the children to participate with enthusiasm, confidence, and creativity.

The competitions were conducted in five categories according to the age groups. The 1st and 2nd Standard children participated in a Drawing Competition on the topic “Environment.” The 3rd and 4th Standard children took part in a Drawing Competition on the theme “Save Nature.” The 5th to 7th Standard children showcased their talents in a Leaf Printing Competition on the theme “Beautiful Garden.” The 8th to 10th Standard children participated in a Poster Making Competition on the topic “Environment – Our Treasure.” In addition, a Leaf Art Competition was also conducted, where children created beautiful artworks using natural leaves.

All the participants displayed great creativity, imagination, and awareness about protecting the environment. Their colourful drawings, posters, leaf prints, and leaf art reflected their love for nature and God’s wonderful creation. The competitions provided an opportunity for the children to develop their artistic skills while learning the importance of caring for the environment. After the competitions, snacks were distributed to all the children, making the event enjoyable and memorable for everyone. The children were delighted to receive refreshments and appreciated the opportunity to participate in the various activities.
