Parish Day Celebration on 26th April 2026

The Parishioners of St. Dominic Church, Ashoknagar celebrated parish day on 26th April 2026. The celebration began with solemn Eucharistic celebration at 4 pm presided over by Rev Fr Daniel Veigas OP, the Parish Priest and concelebrated by Dominican Priests.

The cultural programme commenced at 5.15 pm with live music and singing by our parishioners. Vice president Mr. Isaac Furtado welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Meera Mendonsa, Secretary of the Parish Council presented the report of the Parish for the year April 2025- March 2026. Sr. Rosamma SJT, who served the Parish was now on transfer honoured. Variety entertainment included performances from Parish catechism children, YCS and ICYM, parish women and men who displayed their talents in music, singing, dance and drama. Rev Fr Daniel Veigas, the Parish Priest encouraged the parishioners about the importance of love and unity in the parish. Mrs Veena Fernandes, Finance Council Member gave vote of thanks. The evening ended on a high note with community meal for everyone. The parishioners themselves prepared the meal. There were around 700 parishioners present to witness this memorable evening. The program was compered by Mr. Paul D’Souza, Mrs. Veena D’Souza, Mr. Vinol D’Souza and Miss Viola D’Souza.
