Holy Week Celebrations - Maundy Thursday, 18th April 2019 :

The Maundy Thursday service began at 6.30 pm where Fr. Ronald Dsouza – Director of ICYM, Mangalore Diocese was the main celebrant. The theme for the day was “Do this in memory of me” (Luke 22:19).

In his homily he highlighted on three important aspects of the celebration i.e the institution of the Holy Eucharist, the institution of Priesthood as well as service through the washing of the feet. After the homily the Eucharistic ministers renewed their vows followed by the washing of the feet by the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Aquin Noronha. He washed the feet of the presidents of different associations in the parish.

At the end of the service the blessed Eucharist was taken solemnly to the place of repose where different wards organized adoration to the Lord till midnight. The MC for the liturgy was Sr. Jyothi.
