Catechism Day, February 22, 2026

St. Dominic Church celebrated the Catechism Day on 22/2/2026 through solemn Eucharistic celebration at 8 am. The liturgy was beautifully organised by Catechism children. After the mass, there was a short program of felicitating the Catechism children at St Dominic Silver Jubilee Hall at 9:30 am. Children who scored first and second in their catechism exams were honoured and the children who were regularly present for the Sunday Catechism classes without fail were rewarded. Along with children, all the catechism teachers were felicitated for their generous service to the Church. Rev Fr Daniel Veigas, the Parish Priest encouraged children with his enlightening words of wisdom. Other Chief Guests present were Fr Meckenzie Mendonsa, Assistant Parish Priest, Mr Isaac Furtado, the Vice President , Mrs Meera Mendonsa, the Secretary and Mrs Flavy Lobo, the Co-ordinator of 21 Commissions and Mrs Sylvia D’Costa, the animator of Catechism Teachers.
