St. Dominic Church Ashoknagar celebrates “Parish Day” on 4th May 2025

The Parishioners of St. Dominic Church, Ashoknagar celebrated parish day on 4th May 2025. The celebration began with solemn Eucharistic celebration at 4 pm presided over by Rev Fr Royston Lobo, OP and concelebrated by number of Dominican Priests.

The cultural programme commenced at 5.15 pm with live music and singing by our parishioners. Vice president Mr. Maxim Crasta welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Deborah Locker, Secretary of the Parish Council presented the report of the Parish for the year April 2024- March 2025. Sr. Nimi OP and Sr. Vimal Maria SABS, who served the Parish and are now on transfer, were honoured. Rev Fr Aquin Noronha OP, the former Parish Priest of St. Dominic Church Ashoknagar was felicitated as he was celebrating Silver Jubilee of his Ordination. Variety entertainment included performances from Parish ward groups who displayed their talents in music, singing, dance and drama. Rev Fr Daniel Veigas, the Parish Priest encouraged the parishioners about the importance of love and unity in the parish. Mrs Meera Mendonca, the Cordiantor of 21 Commissions presented vote of thanks. The evening ended on a high note with community meal for everyone. The parishioners themselves prepared the meal. There were around 700 parishioners present to witness this memorable evening. The program was compered by Mr. Roshan Nazareth, Mrs. Wilma Nazareth, Sherwin Nazareth and Sanyo Nazareth.
