Feast of Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary (Monthi Festh) - 2024

The Parish Community of St. Dominic Church Ashoknagar celebrated Feast of Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary, commonly known as Monthi Festh on 08.09.2024. Nine days prayers (Novena) were held from 30th August to 07th September where the faithful offered prayers and flowers to Mother Mary.

On Feast day, the Parish Community gathered at Urwa stores and in spiritual procession march towards the Church, carrying with them flowers, new paddy sheaves, first crops of vegetables etc. to be offered to God as thanksgiving for the blessings received. Rev. Fr. Xavier Dias celebrated the Holy Eucharist along with concelebrant priests and faithful.

The parish community shared the joy of this day by having payasam, sugarcane, and cake for all. On Novena days sweets were given to all those attended the prayers. We thank our generous donors.
