Visit to infant Jesus Ashram, Maryhill by First Holy Communion Children

“Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children.”(Matt 10; 14-15)

On 10th November 2019, children receiving First Holy Communion along with Fr. Royston Lobo, Asst. Parish Priest St. Dominic Church, Ashoknagar, Fr. Roquin Pinto, Juliana Teacher & their parents had visited the Infant Jesus Ashram, Maryhill, Bondel. They all spent some memorable moments of their life with the poor & the needy children. It was a great experience for all who had gathered.

At the start, the members were greeted by Mrs. Beena Lasrado, MC of the program. The program began with the prayer song sung by the children of St. Dominic Church.

Then Mrs. Laveena Serrao welcomed the gathering, which was really pleasing. Mrs. Divya Pinto read a reading from the gospel & Fr.Roquin Pinto gave us the reflection of the reading. It was continued by a short tea break which was sponsored by two of the parents. The program then continued with the games being conducted by Mrs Selma, Mrs Divya & Mr. Roshan Crasta. The games created more & more enthusiasm amongst the children. The prizes were sponsored by one of the parents.

The cultural program included songs & dances performed by the children of St. Dominic Church. It also included a skit performed by Miss Juliana teacher & Mr. Praveen Pinto. It was truly enjoyed by the gathering. It was thrilling to watch kids dancing & singing.

There was also a short & sweet speech by Fr. Royston Lobo, the distribution of the prizes was also done by him. Then, Miss Juliana teacher gave the vote of thanks thanking each and every one present there, for their small as well as big contribution in making the programme a successful one. The contribution was also done by the children receiving the first Holy Communion on 24th November 2019. The helping hand of the children & their parents was well appreciated by everyone.
