CATHOLIC SABHA NEWS:

Free Medical Camp, 12th April 2026

St. Dominic Church Ashoknagar, Catholic Sabha Ashoknagar Unit in association with the Commission for Inter Religious Dialogue, Commission for Health, Capture-Cancer awareness, Shree Sharadha Pooja Samithi Urwa Store, Mangala Friends Circle Urwa Store, Baptist Sports Foundation Urwa Store and Father Muller’s Medical College Hospital jointly organized a Free Medical Camp on Sunday 12th April 2026 in Manasa Mantapa Urwa Store from 9am to 1pm.

Rev Fr Daniel Veigas OP, Parish Priest of St Dominic Church Ashoknagar, Mr. Isaac Furtado, the Vice-President of Parish Council, Dr. Sunaina Bhat, Dr. Josma Dsouza, Coordinator Ms. Priyanka Peirera from Father Muller’s Medical College Hospital, Mr. Guruprasad Rao, the President of Shree Sharadha Pooja Samithi, the Ex-Mayor and the Vice-President of Mangala Friends Circle, Mr. Praveen Anchan, Mr. Arun Baptist ,the President of Baptist Sports Foundation Charitable Trust Urva Store, Mr. Winson Dsouza, the Vice-President of Catholic Sabha and the Coodinator of the camp Mr. Ronald Colaco were present on the dais.

The camp began by invoking the blessings of the Almighty through a Prayer Song. The Vice-President of the Catholic Sabha Mr. Winson DSouza welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr. Daniel Veigas, along with the other dignitaries inaugurated the camp by lighting the lamp. In his message, he appreciated the good work of all the associations and conveyed good wishes to all the participants of the health camp. Facilities like General Medicine, BP & Sugar Test, ECG, Opthalmogy, Gynaecology, Dermatology, ENT, Orthopaedic and Cancer awareness were made available to all the participants. Around 230 people availed the benefits of this camp. Free medicines were distributed to all the patients and 151 spectacles were distributed freely to the needy people. The Convenor of the camp and Rajakiya Sanchalak of Catholic Sabha Mr. Ronald Colaco, proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. Sanath, the member of Mangala Friends Circle compered the programme. The camp was a grand success.
