‘ SALGI’ - Drama enacted at St. Dominic Church, Ashoknagar :

SA unique Konkani drama ‘SALGI’ was staged by the famous artist Christopher D’Souza of ‘ Neenasam’ with his troup on Palm Sunday, 14th April 2019 at St. Dominic Church grounds, Ashoknagar.

The programme was organized by the members of St. Dominic Association. The president Mr. Sunil D’cunha welcomed the gathering and Mr. Paul D’souza, the secretary proposed the vote of thanks.

The entire duration of the drama was so enthralling that the audience where totally engrossed in it for 90 minutes. It gave the right message for today’s life where one has to focus on human relationships rather than chasing after fame and money. It also spoke of living in positive hope even in the times of illness and death. Instead of focusing on your illness, living life to the fullest and being surrounded by our loved ones gave one hope to live. This drama touched the lives of people of different age groups where everyone was able to relate to it to their lives in some way or the other. Some even came forward to share their views and opinions.

During the stage programme Rev. Fr. Alwyn Serrao, the think tank of the script, was felicitated by the parish priest Rev. Fr. Aquin Noronha O.P. The actors and the entire team who were involved in the drama were also honored at the end of the programme.
