“Chiri” “Pedru” – Dramas St. Dominic Association, March 29, 2026
St. Dominic Church Ashoknagar and the St. Dominic Association had organised a Konkani drama “Chiri” on Palm Sunday, 29th March at 7 pm at St. Dominic Church Ground, Ashoknagar. Mr Sunil D’Cunha, welcomed the dignitaries present to the dais. Rev Fr Daniel Veigas, the Parish Priest of St. Dominic Church Ashoknagar appreciated the initiative taken by the St. Dominic Association to organise the drama. Other dignitaries present were Fr Meckenzie Mendonsa, Assistant Parish Priest, Vice President Isaac Furtado, Secretary Meera Mendonsa and 21 Commissions’ Coordinator Flavy Lobo, Rev Dr Alwyn Serrao and Mr. Christy, the Director of the drama. The drama was well appreciated by the audience.
St. Dominic Church Ashoknagar and the St. Dominic Association also had organised the 50th show of Konkani drama “Pedru” on April 1st 2026, at 7 pm at St. Dominic Church Ground, Ashoknagar. Rev Dr Alwyn Serrao the writer of the drama gave the plot of the drama and also thanked the Ashoknagar parishoners for their support and encouragement. After the drama, Mr. Christy was felicitated by Fr Alwyn Serrao and Fr Daniel Veigas, the Parish Priest.
