Annual General Body Meeting of St. Dominic Church-Ashoknagar 2019

The Annual General Body Meeting was held at St. Dominic Silver Jubilee hall on Sunday, 7th July 2019 at 9.30 am with breakfast. After signing the register and acquiring the necessary quorum, the meeting began.

The parish priest Rev. Fr. Aquin Noronha commenced the meeting with a prayer followed by the reading of a passage from the Holy Bible by Leena D’souza.

Fr. Aquin Noronha welcomed the assistant parish priest Fr. Roystan Lobo, Vice-president Mr. Richard Gonsalves, Secretary Mr. Isaac Furtado and all the parishioners for the meeting. The secretary of the PPC read out the minutes of the previous AGM 2018 followed by the presentation of accounts of the Church as well as the hall.

The budget for the year 2019-2020 both of the Church and hall was presented by Mr. Isaac Furtado. The appointment of the auditor for the year 2019-20 was announced and approved. The Vice president Mr. Richard Gonsalves highlighted the important works that were carried out in the last year and placed before the parishioners the forth coming activities and projects.

Mr. Maxim Crasta, the convenor of the Golden Jubilee project presented to the parishioners the prepared plan of the building and explained the details of the facilities available storey wise. He also briefed about the work in progress regarding important documents that need to be in place before construction of the building could commence.

Fr. Aquin highlighted the forth coming important celebrations such as Confraternity Sunday mass and the Eucharistic procession on 4th August at 4pm, the nine days novenas starting from 2nd August, Dominican fathers community feast on 8th August at 6.15 am English mass as well as the Parish Feast on 11th August at the10 am Konkani mass.

Other matters were discussed under A.O.B. The vice-president proposed the vote of thanks. The meeting came to an end at 11.30 am with the thanksgiving hymn. Nearly 250 parishioners attended the AGM.
