Maundy Thursday Service observed at St.Dominic Church, Ashoknagar
Maundy Thursday: Mass was celebrated for the elderly and sick of the parish at 4 pm. The Eucharistic celebration of the Lord’s Supper was celebrated at 6.30 p.m. with 10 priests from the St. Dominican community concelebrating along with Fr. Royston – Asst. Parish Priest was the main celebrant. Fr. Sunil Lobo preached the homily.
The washing of the feet was conducted by Fr. Aquin Noronha- parish priest as an act of humility and selfless service. Later the Eucharist was taken to the altar of repose.
The 10 wards took turns to spend an hour in adoration and worship. At 12 midnight a short way of the cross was organized.
