Feast of St. Dominic De Guzman 2025 And Blessing of The New Crucifix of St Dominic Church

The annual feast of St. Dominic De Guzman, Founder of Order of Preachers (Dominicans) and Patron of our Parish, was celebrated on 3rd August 2025 together with the Dominican Fathers’ Community at Ashoknagar. Prior to the mass, the newly made Crucifix of the Parish was installed and blessed by Rev Dr Ignatius D’Souza, the Bishop of Bareilly Diocese on the occasion of the feast at 9:45 am. V. Rev. Fr Rajesh Melvin Rosario, Rector of St Joseph’s Interdiocesan Seminary Jeppu, Mangalore, presided over the Holy Eucharistic celebration and effectively preached on the festal theme “Pilgrims of Hope: We proclaim our Salvation in Christ Jesus.” The Festal mass was concelebrated by many diocesans and religious priests from the Episcopal City Deanery.

On all the days of novena and on feast day, Muddoms were honoured. The main celebrant honoured Firgenths of the feast. The Whole celebration of Novena, Confraternity Sunday and Feast was organised under the guidance of Parish Pastoral Council of St. Dominic Church.
