Ward Day Celebration At Kottar-A On 2nd December 2018

Ward day was celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Ward, Kottar A on 2nd December 2018 at Mr. Francis Lobo’s house, the former Gurkar of Kottar A ward. The ward members gathered at 4.30 pm. Before they celebrated the ward day a short ward prayer meeting was held. A decade of the Rosary was offered for the good health of Mr. Francis Lobo who has not been well for some time. A reading from the Holy Bible was read followed by a short reflection from the Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Aquin Noronha. Ward report was read by SCC ward co-ordinator Mrs. Juliet Barboza.

The celebration of ward day began at 5pm. The ward Gurkar Mr. John Pais welcomed the gathering. The ward members rejoiced celebrating the birthday of Mr. Francis Lobo who was born on the feast of St. Francis Xavier on 3rd December. A cake was cut by Mr. Francis Lobo along with the family members while the ward members sang the B’day song. Mr. Micheal Pais and Fr. Aquin Noronha on behalf of ward wished good health for Mr. Francis Lobo and appreciated his selfless service and dedication for the parish and ward during his tenure as ward Gurkar. Thrilling games were conducted by Miss Nivya Rodrigues. Snacks were served followed by the distribution of prizes. Ward representative Dr. Sharmila D’silva proposed vote of thanks for the ward members.
