The year of Youth 2019

The inauguration of the Year of the Youth 2019 in Ashoknagar Parish was organised by the YCS and the ICYM members along with the parish youth on the 10th of February Sunday during the 8 am Eucharistic celebration. Brief introduction was given before the entrance hymn regarding the liturgy and the importance of the year of youth.

During the entrance hymn the Bible was solemnly brought in procession by the ICYM president in front of the altar and the parish Priest Rev. Fr. Aquin Noronha received the Bible and venerated it. All the youth of the parish gathered around the altar during the veneration.

The inauguration began with the lighting of the lamp and with the release of the logo in the presence of parish priest, Rev. Fr. Aquin Noronha, the main celebrant of the Eucharist Rev. Fr. Anil Lobo, parish vice-president, Mr. Richard Gonsalves, the secretary, Mr. Isac Furtado, the president of the ICYM Mr. Wilton and the YCS Mr. Anson. The liturgy of the Eucharist was prepared by the YCS and the ICYM members.

There were more than 40 youth present for the inauguration and the mass.
